Owners/promoters Dick and Shelly Stark will present the first annual Fall Ball Racing Extravaganza on this Saturday race date. On the agenda is the New York Modified Midget race group, as this will be their “Winged Weekend” event, a 50 lap I.M.C.A. Ryan’s Towing in Ithaca, N.Y. owned by I.M.C.A. competitor “Pistol” Pete Neff will be the sponsor of this event, with Pete attempting to steal one of the “wildcard” spots that will be up for grabs.
The Hurricane Street Sock/ Pure Stock 50 lap invitational should be a good one as several high profile champions, and other top point finishers will duke it out in the Fall Ball Invitational. The entry level Road Warriors, and the Road Bandits will round out the racing on the day with 20 lap feature events highlighting the driving talent the competes in these divisions weekly. When the racing is finished a big pit party will ensue by the bonfire, with music, fun, and surely some good racing stories.

Fall Ball Weekend Info
Thunder Mountain Speedway management decided this past week to forgo the scheduled Friday portion of the upcoming Fall Ball weekend, and race a 5 division program on Saturday, October 18th. "With the changing weather, and the likelihood of reduced attendance because of it, it seemed appropriate to downsize the format, and concentrate our efforts on just the Saturday portion of the program" stated owner Dick Stark.
The racing program for the day will consist of the highly anticipated 50 lap invitationals for both the I.M.C.A Modifieds, and the Hurricane Street Stocks/ Pure Stocks, along with races for the NYMM group, the Bandits, and the Warriors. Racing action will begin with heat races at 3:00 p.m. with gates opening at NOON.
